As a consortium partner in cooperation with ČEZ - Energetické služby we are put into operation a new ecological heat source for Moravian-Silesian sugar factories in Opava.
The project, also financed from European sources, was put out to tender in a public tender and implemented in the form of EPC contract, i.e. as a complete turnkey delivery.
A new source based on gas and biogas combustion replaced the Moravian-Silesian sugar factories original coal boilers and thus brought significant environmental benefits - a significant reduction in emissions and the discontinuation of coal as a fuel.
The PPA CONTROLL Group is thus following up on the successful implementation of a similar solution at the Slovak Sugar Mills in Sereď on the Czech market.
"EPC projects are not only a technical challenge for us, but also a confirmation that we can bring our clients a comprehensive solution from design to commissioning. The level of provider of large-scale energy projects bringing ecological and efficient energy sources opens the door for us to large projects such as incineration plants or new heating sources," confirms Richard Pavlík, director of the technology projects department.

For the production and supply of saturated steam, three Bosch gas steam boilers labeled K1, K2 and K3 were installed in the gas boiler room with the following parameters:
Saturated steam parameters:
Boiler room output for production technology operation boiler K1 and boiler K2:
Output power of the boiler room for heating offices, operating boiler K3:

The new source in Opava is clear proof that our PPA CONTROLL group can bring solutions combining cutting-edge technology, ecological benefits and high efficiency.
The modern boiler house will ensure a reliable supply of steam for both production and administration, while significantly reducing emissions and completely phasing out coal. The project thus strengthens the competitiveness of Moravian-Silesian Sugar Mills and at the same time confirms our position as a partner for large energy and industrial investments.
